Over the years, our focus has shifted. Today, 80% of the dogs in our care are sanctuary or senior dogs, many with lifelong medical or behavioral needs that make them unadoptable. We never give up on a dog—and that means we commit to loving, caring for, and advocating for these dogs for the rest of their lives.
But with that promise comes a price.
Costs for food, medications, vet care, and supplies have soared—some by over 200%. Our traditional fundraising—based on emergency appeals and project needs—simply can’t keep pace with the everyday needs of our sanctuary dogs.
